Trying to make it on my own -

I am walking all alone,
Trying to make it on my own;
Not depending on anyone -
It's my job and must be done.

Never thought I'd see the day
When I would feel this way -
Life is good and I am free
To be just who I want to be.

It doesn't matter if you scorn,
I refuse to mope or be forlorn;
I've made it this far, you know
And wishing don't make it so.

You have to get up and move,
Get yourself back in the groove!
I made the bed I lie upon,
Someday it may all be gone.

Until that time I will live,
Giving all I have to give.
Could I be wrong..could I be?
For Jesus walks beside of me.
