A poem about new relationships
You ask me to turn off the light
fearful of the lines of life
coming into full view.

Yours is the most beautiful light
that I have ever seen
for it's not the shell I see, but thee.

You hide your light out of sight
believing that it is too dim
too unworthy to be seen.

Why do you ask for re-assurances
knowing that I have lived before

Can you not see that - I - am - here
and that true love is only found within.

Forget the mirror - it's a trick
God placed your love within
to feed you.

Your light was sent to illuminate the world
to reach out to souls - to continue God's work
from the state of true love.
