SEPARATION

A call to duty, he must go
To defend our right to be free;
A soldier, longing to stay home
With his wife and family.

Tears that ache within the heart
That never can be shed;
Send them off with cheery smile
Don't think about the dread.

He stands tall who stands
To fight for our nation;
The longing ache will ease
We will endure this separation.

Within our hearts he will be
Safe, warm and protected.
A call to duty, he must go;
Freedom cannot be neglected.
