poetry in the here and now. This is in regards to my knee surgery and recovery process.
Sitting here,
Sitting still,
Silently listening to my thoughts,
Scattered and numerous.

Where to start,
What to do,
I'm not sure,
I just want to run,
Be active,
Go someplace.

But for now
I'm sitting here with my thoughts,
Because my knee is healing.
My body broken,
Thus keeping me down
Silent for the moment.

I need action,
I like to play.
I want to go!
To see,
To be where the action is.

For now though
I sit silent,
Waiting to be healed.
Waiting for change.
Waiting to get out.
Wanting the great outdoors
Even if it is winter,
It feels like summer.
I need to go out to play...

Until I can play,
I silently sit here
With my thoughts.
