tired of not being, Please rate and review first poem I ever posted
For a long time
All I was didn't exist
Could not talk
Shrouded in the shadow
Casted by siblings, parents
Independence withered
Died silently
Who had I been
A vessel to be directed
Years had past
A side unknown to me awoke
Cast doubt, fears, longings
Ruining the comfortable prison
My own name burst through my lips
Did not even fit the new being inside
An old nickname was custom fit
A smile made the years flow away
I was that girl who laughed and joked
Not dependant on others for direction
Submissive to their whim no longer
The name is Levi what's yours?
