He did not wear armor, nor did he need too.
He came into my world
Late one rainy night
He did not wear armor
nor a bright red cape.

He entered my life
Cautiously, honestly.
There were no bright
Flashes of light.
No overwhelming urges
of clinging to him
and making him mine.

He told of tales of love lost,
of worlds he'd left behind.
With the wall around my heart.
He gladly listened as I raged
about my stormy little life.
He seems to truly understand
and nurtures my insecurities.

Over time he nestled himself
inside my un-expecting heart.
Where he gave back to me
my will to again hope,
allowing me to dream.
Giving me reason to smile.

He will never know just
how much I admire him nor
How much I really love him.
For single-handedly he
gave me back my wings
so once again I may soar.

He came into my world
Late one rainy night
He did not wear armor
nor a bright red cape.
