emotional defenses we all have and sometimes wish we didn't
If in the night, you hear me cry,
Stranger in the night, pass me by.

Alone I am, alone I will be.
Stranger in the night, let me be free.

Put up my defenses, build up my wall.
Stranger in the night, let me stand tall.

I see nothing but blackness when I close my eyes,
Stranger in the night, I hear your wispered sighs.

I built up my fortress which I must defend.
Stranger in the night, how much longer can I pretend.

Warrior by day, little girl by moonlight.
Stranger in the night, hold me tight.
