Entry for the Third Son of Slam Contest {item:554585}
Home - The Sweet Restorium

In our life's drama that never ends,
One beacon e'er shines on the paths we trod,
It is no surprise that this help we get,
Is the hearth of our own sweet home!

We stumble, straighten, rock and rumble,
We twist and turn down troubles all day,
And yet when the eve comes around,
We walk all the way back home.

Our work makes us stretch hard,
For that small interval of rest,
We get it but not there,
For that, we have to trudge back home.

Small mercies our friends do bestow,
Little happiness our work doth give,
But for bliss and ecstasy of family,
No doors open but for our home.

Speak not harshly of life's little obstacles,
Think not badly of hurt, anger and pain,
When the day is done and the wounds are raw,
Who shall soothe and calm us, if not home?

Our home is our church and temple,
Our home is our hospital and spa,
Our home is our citadel and castle,
Yay, all this and more, is our sweet home.

So, take heart and trust in me, O friends,
Be not tardy, or sluggish, or late,
If your work in the world is done,
Go thou, and rush back home.
