The only fear we have as children is the fear of Dark.
A child sits in the dark.
The dark scares the child.
Dark is a childs nightmares,
From darkness comes monsters.
creatures from the black lagoon,
Slimy tenteckles in the gloom.
Things from undernieth the bed,
The darkness creeps inside your head.
Skeletons, ghosts, monsters too,
These are the patrollers of dark.

The child weeps for parents long past,
Parents that died in shotgun blasts.
Parents that would never love again,
because they entered the dark.
Skeletons, ghosts, monsters too,
These are the patrollers of dark.

This child cries as gunshots ring out,
He trembles as he hears a final shout.
Guns may fight within a battle,
Leaving families devestated and rattled.
Although one side may win the war,
Everyone losses just like before.
Skeletons, ghostes, monsters too,
These are the patrollers of dark.

The child looks into the dark,
And sees a creature seeping out.
The child lets out an unheard scream,
For others are deep within a dream.
This child will never cry again,
For he has been taken by Dark.
Skeletons, ghosts, monsters too,
These are the patrollers of dark.
