When I think of my father

When I think of my father,
I see a man proud of who he was,
And how he lived.

When I think of my father,
I see the love in his eyes,
For his family.

When I think of my father,
I see the way he worked hard,
All of his life.

When i think of my father,
I see the man I want to be,
And hope that I am.

Now that I am a father,
I know what to do,
I know how to be.

When i think of my father,
I see the man I hope,
My son becomes.

When i think of my father,
I am proud of who he was,
And who I am.
