Poem about my failure as a human in this unhumane world.
Voiceless

Life in this post-modern world,
Can bring you down.
With hyper reality all around,
Nothing is real in this cyber world.

I feel like a machine,
Expected to think like them.
To be a component of this engine,
Which keeps telling me about freedom.
So why am I bond to these capitalist chains?

The world’s materialism is suffocating,
With its tight grip around our necks.
Science used to bring the world relief,
But now we take everything for granted.

Religion was about love once,
But know it is like a disease.
Spreading itself slowly.
With out any compassion,
It tightens the chains of repression

Please tell me that nothing is lost,
Real love and passion are still true.
Nothing will harm us,
All will be well in this daunting world.

Please tell me,
Those lives are not lost,
Those bodies are not vanished,
That this killing is not for granted.

Please don’t tell me,
This killing is for greed,
This slaughter is for oil.
That the massacre is in the name of love.

The world is not only yours,
This world is mine too.
Why these chains?
I am voiceless
To fight for freedom that I don’t own.
