loves momentos inspire feelings to return...
Funny I found this letter,
It crawled back from the curb.
Where I left everything that had to do with you,
Every kiss,
Every word.
And I read it once or twice
to tell you the truth, i couldnt put it down
And now I’m stuck in the middle
Of procrastination
And what my heart will allow

Every time I pick up the phone
And start to dial your number
There’s this pressure on my chest
Shortness of breath
That dares to encumber me
But your voice is
A dial tone and seven beeps away
As are memories that you picked for me
A colorful bouquet

That’s wilted and withered and faded to a gray
So when you pick up
I won’t know quite what to say.

Two years ago you laid the blue prints
For us gregarious chicks
We were built on a false foundation
We erected false bricks
And still you know the me that was,
I have yet to come clean
It’s been two years since I last tasted you
But I’m still running my filthy routine

I don't remember ringing
But I found someone on the other end
Her voice was familiar but different
A lot has changed since then
A lot has changed since then
Too much has changed since then

And though it’s not what I had hoped
Each drooping flower
Let me know
Each dried up petal
Told me so
That the soil had turned to dust

Its funny I found this letter
I should've just thrown it away
Then there's those memories that you picked for me
What a colorful bouquet
