A poem about trust.
Love runs deeper
by orient_celts

I gaze at your contented face,
Not enough words can suffice
That only my fervid actions
I complement wholly,
how you have filled me.

In a soul's embrace,
You held our love,
Pure, emanating, permeating.
While equally and gladly
These same expressions I reciprocate.

Yet, in trifle moments,
I find that I shudder,
Not ever from your love
But from the possible pain.

A gapping hole it will be,
If you love another,
That will make you leave,
Thus, betraying me.

Those are my hidden fears,
That you understood,
That I'd die if you go.
For this kind of love we keep,
I have been sacrificing for.

Your love, my love,
It runs deeper,
Please, care for it.
For it will but a shade
Once it has been betrayed.
