Shorter than I thought

The damage is done,
I might as well leave.
I've hurt you enough.
I didn't mean to cut you so deep,
But the blade was shorter
Than I thought.
If I could stop the tears,
I would.
But I did what I had to.
I'm afraid to hurt you more.
The knife cannot twist in
Any deeper.

and I don't regret it,
But it wasn't meant to end like this.
Nothings over.

and pull out the knife.
