This one is about the unresolved conflicts of a relationship.
I remember.
I remember the passionate nights,
the warm embraces,
where our hands gently grazed
the many folds and creases of
our bodies.
The many nights where I lied to
my parents just for the chance
to see you.
Just for another chance to enjoy
another afterglow.
Another chance for you to smother
me under your weight,
And yet there’s still this feeling
of abandonment when asked to
show some affection my way.
You didn’t mind having me under your
sheets.
But God forbid I hug you in public.
God forbid our friends see what they already
know.
God forbid everyone think you’re a freak.
Or worse, think you love a freak.
