Trying to accept the inevetiable, and failing
Dream tears flow from my heart
In burning streams,
The time has come to
face the facts.
Some things are just never ment to be
Standing beside the sea
I watch as the pain
Washes one more dream away
I sit in the cold sand
and wonder...
How many more are they going to take?
How much more can I take?
The closer I come to grasping
The brass ring
The harder the knife in me
Is twisted
My heart is the only thing crying
For my eyes have no more tears
To shed
I listen to the sound of the waves
and cry out for the last dream
There are so few left to me
I'm afraid to see them go
The next one may be the
last one,
And where do I go from there?
I close my eyes tonight and
wish on the stars above
The dream tears are falling,
Leaving burning streams on my heart.
