Just a love poem.
A cold sun sets over the horizon,
As I sit on a cliff over a lake.
You walk away into the dying light
I watch as tears streak down my face.
No goodbye, or a kiss of farewell,
Just a ring removed, and a turned back.
Why act so distant and cold now?
When yesterday you claimed never to leave my side?
Maybe, you’ll come back, and say it was a lie.
But, I know you won’t.
You claim to love another.
Now, I’m left with a memory of what was,
And fantasies of what could be if you were still here.
