Written when I was a teenager about choosing which parent to live with
Oct. 3, 1996

One week from today is the court date
I’m really scared
I want to live with my dad
I hope the judge says I can
I really hate my life
I’m just walking through it like a numb puppet
I’m hurting a lot inside
I hate everything that’s going on
My life wasn’t supposed to be this way
No, not for perfect Becky
Not for innocent, perfect, church-going Becky
What’s happening to me?
Where am I ?
What am I doing here?
I feel like the song Creep-
‘I’m a creep. I’m a loser. What the hell am I doing here? I don’t belong here.’
Where do I belong?
