poem about lying to the one you love.
He looks at me with loving eyes,
I talk to him and tell him lies.
Why do I do it?
Why do I put him through it?

He tells me I'm sweet and innocent,
And even thinks I am decent.
I'd like it to be true,
If only he knew.

I'd like to tell him of my life.
He might not ask me to be his wife.
I want him to know about my past,
Then maybe we might make it last.

He asked me to spend the night,
I didn't think twice.
We shared a bed,
I lay down my head.
I closed my eyes then realized,
I didn't belong here.

I have to leave,
I want to stay,
If only I may,
Maybe Someday.
