Children are shaped by poor upbrings
Hallways of America

Paint a picture of unwanted teenagers
Born to grow up with no chance
Abusive parents make great role models
Choices they made can screw you fast
Why did I have to pay?

Football playing geeks throw touchdowns while
My unborn child is dying today
Life’s too hard to refuse my choice
So the child slowly slips away
Why did I have to pay?

The past becomes history; the future is now
Memories less than what I am
My path so clear from the life I have
But now is not the shape I planned
Why did I have to pay?
