Doppelganger

She had my face,
Her every movement copied mine
I blinked she blinked
I smiled she smiled

But she, was not me
Only a shell,
A mere picture of myself
She was empty inside,
Hollow, and vacant

I was full, bursting
Of life and experiences
But weren’t my memories hers
Didn’t we share the same wisdom,
The same life?

Without her,
I would be incomplete
A half, not a whole
For she is always with me
A reflection, a shadow
Forever haunting my footsteps
