a feeling of being in love
I know what I feel
But I haven't the words
To describe it.
It's almost as if ...
There were something inside me
- Not in my heart -
But attatched to it
In the center of my chest
Deep down in my soul,
Something that was
Probably there all along:
I just never noticed it;
For before it must have only been
A speck.
And now it seems to be
A million times my size,
But enveloped within me;
An immortal existence
That grows with every embrace;
The grip of your whole life
Knotted to mine,
With every breath
Pressed from your lips to my own,
With every glance;
The reflection of your eye
Pouring out the secrets of a lifetime:
Tearing me from myself
And enchanting me with visions
Of an everlasting dance
To the most beautiful song
In an echoing room
With the most wonderful partner
In an undying world.
There it is
A simple sigh
Contented, comfortable,
And untouchable:
Living within me
Making me the happiest
In all the world.
