You allow me my moments of sorrow and despair
Moments of life and love never to be repented of
Always waiting with your motherly care
Like Madonna with Child gazing from above
Pen to paper without hesitation words flow
You allow me this freedom I crave
I can be me with you neither friend nor foe
But I will always be your slave
