Dying with pride
Cancer

Don’t tell me you love me
Simple words spoken in haste
Think for a moment before you speak.

Don’t dare shed a tear for me
Muddied mascara trails.
It’s not sympathy I seek.

Just let me be a man
As much as this bed allows
Fighting this cancer as I can
