Emotional ties, dedicated to my nephews Michael and Alex.
Mom, I'm ok
I can play game boy all day
They don't make me stop
I don't even need to rest
No more homework and
no more studying for math test
It's not so bad
I feel as free as a bird
I met grandma, she so nice,
she says someday
they will find a cure
For now I can play, I can sing,
I can dance
I don't have to wear those
awful green pants
I know you are sad
You had to give me back to heaven
I know it was tough
I was only seven
But Mom I thank you
for always being so strong
You were my best friend all along
You were my comfrot
You were my strength
You helped me prepare
for heavens gate
It was a long journey
I think it was harder on you
but Mom it's ok
Don't let your big heart turn blue
Don't let the coldness set in
I was ready to go
I am happy in heaven
I want you to know
I will always be with you
I'm watching you from up here
No more holding hangers
like little bunny ears
Continue on your journey
I know you'll stay strong
At times I can whisper to you
our favorite special song
I can come to your dreams
I can bring grandma too
She makes me chocolate chip cookies
they remind me of you
I have to go now Mom
I really want to play
I can be a strong lion
or a small bumble bee
But most of all Mom
Thank You for setting me free
