Exchanging abuse for neglect- watching my old parish die
Abandoned

Bastards of a busy God
Gnaw at cast-off crusts,
While pompous princes
Watch yet never see
Their Father’s eyes in hungry faces
Starving in the hall,
Whilst prelates feast
In safe impunity.
