always looking & feeling for anything that might be him-- but he's gone.
To the middle of the night
when it was late and no light,
you'd sit at the window
until way past the middle of the moon.

Time for you to come alive
when it was so dark
and things closed down,
at least to anyone else
but then was when you saw it all

In the moon you saw past life here,
to touch the air and grab a star.
So differently you thought...
challenge of my heart,
private ... but love sparked
loud and so brilliant, but too short.

You are of time and days gone.
Beauty within the soul reached out,
how else to see you now...
but maybe if I sit at the window
until way past the middle of the moon,
you will reach out and show me the way to you.

Soulmates, meant for a lifetime,
past a lifetime...
and with feelings
lost past the middle of the moon.

in private, the waiting is lonely,
but a new day is on its way,
and one day I'll meet him again!
