About the effects of war
The enemy is approaching fast
You hope your weapons last
The first shot is taken
And the want for war is not mistaken
The anger starts to rise
But the event was no surprise
The sparks of hatred were already aflame
Nobody want's to take the blame
The shroud of darkness starts to fall
And it covers all
As you fight with all your might
You hold your hopes and dreams tight
But you feel them slipping away
At the dying of the day
The enemy grows stronger still
With a fatal blow, they make the last kill
As you feel defeat and intense pain
You realize from this war there's nothing to gain
You're bent and broken, lying there
And all the enemy does is stare
As you take your final breath
You come to know the feeling of death
So much for 'glorious' bloodshed
At the end of war, all hands are tainted red
