How times change as we grow older and wiser!
Lips

Bawdry and painted your lips
Remind me of my colourful past --
My vivid dreams and my lusty thoughts
That went by on wings of Time,

Those rosy afternoons we lived in ethereal moods,
Those russet evenings spent by your side,
Watching our children grow up,
Our lives picking up their tempo --

Puckered and shining your lips
Tell tales of our happier times,
When we spoke sweet-li'l-nothings in each others' ears!
They laugh humungously at me --

Ironical as always in the years to come,
Your twisted smiles gave me no comfort,
You looked elsewhere for admirers as I
withered away, waiting for you --

Horrid and sanguine your lips
Ask me why do I still love you --
You left me to live alone,
Quivering with passion for you,

Now the time has come for me to go,
And you are here to visit me for the last time:
I say nothing, but shrivel in my corner,
Looking at your chameleonesque lips.
