A place to pay homage to God
Oft I find, at the end of the day,
I need a quiet place to.
Commune with God,
A place of serenity.
In the Garden of Prayer
There's.a tranquil Brook
Whose waters flow
Unhindered out to sea.
The mirrored reflection
Looking back at me,
Brings about feelings
Of contentment and
Inner peace.

This is where God dwells.
A smile slips across my face
As I praise my Saviour.
Yes, God is in this place.

I overlook the cacophony of
Sounds made by the milieu,
Penetrating the stillness of the eve:
The chirping of the crickets,
The concert of the nightingales,
The croaking of a lonesome frog
Calling from a nearby tree.

This is where God dwells.
A smile slips across my face
As I praise my Saviour.
Yes, God is in this place,

I have found my quiet place,
My Garden of Prayer,
A place where I can be alone with
My creator, my King, and my God.
My spirit is stilled.
Sweet contentment,
Sweet rest.

Psalms 139 (NIV) You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
