His betrothed was with child
Most men would have disgraced her
Joseph was not like them
Mary was his wife to be
He respected and loved her
Even before God intervened
Then Gabriel visited Joseph
Joseph did not question
He knew Jesus was the Son of God
Joseph was proud to adopt God's Son
He protected Jesus from Herod
He moved to Egypt and then Nazareth
He taught Jesus a trade
He loved Him as a son.
