Coming-of-Age Sci Fi Mid-1980's
DARK INVASION by Nathan Hystad is the first of an exciting new Series combining mid-1980's coming of age on a quiet, isolated island in the Pacific Northwest, with illuminating, spine-chilling, Sci Fi.

Bell Island is the kind of tiny community one either loves, or can't wait to leave. It's early July 1984, and Elliott is home from college, to a dad not working and a mom in a psychiatric hospital on the mainland, due to "delusions." Dumped suddenly by his long-term girlfriend, Elliott meets a girl new to the island, and at a Fourth of July gathering they and best friend "Bones" hear about the "Bell Island Demon," which occurs periodically. Then a grizzled Vietnam veteran drops a bombshell: it's not a demon at all....but a vicious violent alien predator, an apex predator, and the entire Island is in danger...
