Letter from Kwn

Dear dungeon-master,

You ask where Elrys disappeared to. I wish I knew. In my youth we gathered at Mertz', threw some magic dust and split some heads. Oh yes we did! Remember Dave and Gary? Those we're the times, my friend. Our arms were supple and my axe end sharp. And Elrys ... he carried a harp! Such a gifted magicuser (one of the best I confess) and a mediocre son-of-a-blade like me always needed a mentor and a shield-friend.

Oh how we delved your dungeons and traced through those tunnels, amazed at the end of play that we had survived for another Tuesday! Thus, I acquired gold like any good dwarf. Elrys sought out knowledge. But I gave it up. At the end of my playing days, I hoarded what I'd won and stayed away from the fray, only lopping off a head or two when I wasn't heeded (or needed the practice).

Mayhaps Elrys has transported himself, found a cloak to forever make him transparent. Has it been thirty years? I've wished him well every day.

If you should see him tell him Kwn-the-dwarf has asked after him. I include this map; it will show him the way; he'll know how to use it. For what are heaps of gold and gems without a friend to share it.

Your former dungeon-slave,

Kwn

Part truth, part fiction. We did role play in the Mertz' basement. And Gary Mertz and David Hall were there. More details escape me, so it's part fiction as well. And I did have an elf and a dwarf! I think I remember their names right ... *Rolleyes* ... time marches on.

This is my fourth FTL. On to enter and edit the 5th! It's already 61º outside and I wanna go out and play instead. To read about me, read the previous entry. I'm trying to do two/day: one FTL, one ME. *Smile*
