WATER, THE EARTHLY WONDER
Water is the most amazing element. Not a day slips away that I'm imbibing it, basking in it, cooking with it, and cultivating my greenery with it. What other earthly wonder permits me to wet my whistle or soak away my troubles? It quenches not only my physical thirst, but my need for carefree fun as well.
Remember discovering water as a child? Hot or cold, it feels delightful on the skin. It flows. It puddles. It splatters. It splashes. It drips and dribbles. It pitter-patters or pummels as rain. It bubbles, gurgles, and swirls in a stream. It swells, rolls, and crashes in the ocean. Like a curious child, water never sits still.
Water can be sun-dappled, serene, inviting, caressable like a happy child. It may also be similar to a pouting, temper tantrum child; churning, slashing, and petulant. Water conveys so many moods and emotions.
We associate water with rebirth, miracles, and blessings. What's a christening without water? Special occasions are celebrated with showers; bridal or baby. We use the expression "shower with kindness".
Why not stop to wade in a creek or splosh through a puddle? Why not cavort, dance, and spin in a rain storm?
