The 30 Day Blogging Challenge Prompt for 1-22-17 is "The Sunday News! Seven WDC authors were just promoted to Moderator status! ("Note: Congratulations to...") Visit one of their ports and review one of their items...and in your entry here, now would be a good time to tell us what your goals are for being with WDC (whether you're a newbie or someone who's been around the block awhile). Make sure you include your review, using the Invalid Review tag."

I just completed a review for one of the new moderators and affiliated to this group. Review of "What I Thought"

What are my goals for WDC? When I first came on here my goal was simply to write and network some. As time passed I grew to love everything about it. Winning the awards and contests I win looks real nice when I'mm preparing a resume to impress a talent agent. I also know that agents, editors, and publishers go through this site. When they scout somebody with potential they'll approach them. At that point having one's portfolio looking professional, one's work top notch, and everything else as it should be is very important. A big publishing company could be monitoring my blog right now. So my goals for WDC are to become a moderator myself. I am already the guest editor of a blogging newsletter though it's not a site newsletter. I also hold several different positions with newbies through the Newbies Academy Group. I feel like newbies coming in are new family members being born into the family. It's my job as a big brother to protect them and help them. I don't do it because I have to. I do it because I want to.

I am also second in command of disAbility Writer's Group. Our leader is currently dealing with personal issues and has entrusted me to operate the group. I try to field questions from nearly 75 members.

I also run two contests, one of which won an awardicon for promoting poetry. My computer almost literally never logs out of the site. I sleep a few hours and I'm right back in it. So I'd say I'm a little addicted to WDC. However it won't kill me. My goals are to promote my writing, make friends, have fun, climb the ranks, and enjoy being here.
