Daffs
It's 10 p.m. and 31 degrees so I shut the window. The "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS prompt was comfort food so I decided to cook up some mac&cheese. *Laugh*

I started on my JI writings in my tlog. I will do all 8 in the same format.

"Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt: March Daffodils. Let March and Daffodils inspire your blog entry.

I saw the tips of daffodils coming up in the mud. But I'm not fooled! They will take their time this year as that cold snap was long and deep. We'll have a week of sun though and that will help thaw and encourage everything.

It would be nice to have daffodils blooming by the end of March. They were earlier in Oklahoma and one year I saw them blooming in February in South Carolina. We had cold springs where I grew up so it was April at best. Which is why I preferred May.

But for me, daffodils = spring. Tulips bide their time like cherry blossoms. Daffodils are impatient like me and ume (plum).

Growing up I had a special daffodil with ivory petals and a peachy trumpet. Not all daffodils are yellow! But slopes of common yellow daffs or dandelions bring hope in a way few flowers freely offer.

We also have buttercups that bloom in March here in WMT and yellowbells.

Thank you for reading and commenting in my blog!

From Robert Waltz . Random, but hey, I'll take it!

I just commented at his blog:

Thanks for the merit badge. *HeartY*

On behalf of all resident aliens, thank-you for not exposing us. It saved us the trouble of using our gamma-ray-gun. The last time we used it we turned a ho-hum-hollywood-star into Ronald Reagan... sorry about that.

By-the-way Oumuamua was just a stellar frisbee gone rogue. We had nothing to do with Sirius not catching what Orion threw your way. Betelgeuse was behind it. (shhh)

41 degrees before noon. Dreary, but need to get out.

I never did submit a 1 star Cupid poem. I got this far and thought that focusing on my merfolk/unicorn war was more important:

Roses blush red
your heart bleeds black.
In your pants, Stu-
pid. Put it back.

Not baaaad enough, imho.

I went to bed early enough, got enough sleep but my get-up-and-go hasn't kicked in. *Frown*

That shiny ball of fire burned through the clouds *Sun*. It's 3 pm. and 46 degrees.

Saw a pair of canada geese honking headed down-river. Pidgeon struting in their mating call. Ducks in the south channel, skaters at MoBash. Ice and mud.

Sat in the rays soaking it up. Managed to wash dishes.

Checked the news; a bit disturbing.

40 degrees at 7 p.m.

I wrote a poem for a contest then realized that I was supposed to write a flash-fiction (<500) story!

"Green pancakes [360]

Now ... what's the story behind this? Hmm...
