Having problems connecting to the internet.

Very dark morning. Overslept. Missed a message from a friend... twice. *Frown* I don't get many messages or calls so that saddens me.

It must've rained all night. Still misty. The river's rising.

48 damp degrees at 12:30. Clearing soon though.

I told Bryan (about his entry "Voidless):

"Unnerving. Which means it's a keeper in this form or another. Why do vampires come to mind and zombies? Those who suck off of others; those who have been sucked dry ... or were unsuckable...

Yes it needs an edit. The two lines "the voids / the fulls" confuses me. Not sure of poetics either. But still a keeper because it elicits a reaction.

Your added comment "so full of potential, but ditch your dreams because you are empty inside." reminds me of days when my depression overwhelms me and I'm a mere husk of unrealized dreams."

"Nice" is the kiss of death. Any strong emotion is preferable. Bryan's poem unnerves but the rawness of it hits its mark. I wish we workshopped poems here. Mere ratings/reviews are better for completed works. Many reviews read like movie reviews or book reports. That's not what is needed for a work in progress (especially poetry). And ALL writings here should be considered a work-in-progress until they reach final form and are printed on paper or on-line.

Even awarded poems can rightfully be tweaked by the author or totally redone if desired.

57 mostly clear degrees at 6 pm.
