Christmas Joy
Christmas joy 'mid dark and snow
brings hope to summer's eve.
Times of peace and rest to know
within a blanket's sleeve.

Summer's days are oft quite hot
in southern U.S. climes,
but winter's nights are chilly spots,
enjoying tea betimes.

Christmas thoughts bring joy to mind
anytime of year.
Heat may cause the thoughts be blind
without coolness near.

Christmas season, Christ has come,
Santa's laughter full.
Joyful hearts, the part, the sum,
draw us by their pull.
