The Candle's Sacrifice

"Behold the candle how it gives its light. It weeps its life away drop by drop in order to give foth its flame of light"
'Abdu'l-Baha1

Drop by drop the candle bleeds
offering up its life
as a sacrifice.

Drops of wax descend,
as the flame burns clear and bright;
illuminating the night.

O Lord, let my odes
be candles to humanity
lighting the darkness
with the radiance of unity.
