February 2 - National Muse Day

Enter your muses proposal for Muse Day. IE Andre might suggest 'Monkey Day' where, when he wakes up in the morning and sees something, then he makes up some sort of rule or prediction or whatever. You get the idea.

Tell us all about ? Day in a blog entry. The best ideas for 'MUSE DAY' will be selected - then we'll celebrate that day on a future date in the Banana Bar.

National Muse Day

A quick glance at my calendar lets me know today is National Muse Day. Huh. Didn’t know that was a thing. Did Hallmark just make up a new fake holiday?

Let’s see, per the internet, on February 2nd we have:
Groundhog Day
National Tater Tot Day
National Ukulele Day
National Crepe Day
National Brown Dog Day
National Girls and Women in Sports Day
National Heavenly Hash Day
National Sled Dog Day
The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo

“Marie. I note that today is National Muse Day. What do you think we should do? How should we celebrate?”

I had to catch Marie as she ran through the house. Once she stopped laughing, she said, "National Muse Day? Every day is National Muse Day! Let’s celebrate National Tater Tot Day and National Heavenly Hash Day combined. Sounds like lunch. Who’s hungry?”

She ran to the kitchen, gathered all the ingredients she could find to make heavenly hash and tater tots.

After lunch, we celebrated the fact the groundhog didn’t see his shadow, or did he? Then we went to the animal shelter, adopted a brown dog for National Brown Dog Day and a husky for National Sled Dog Day. Then since we were in the mood, it only made sense to get a dog sled for the dogs so we could yell ‘MUSH’ and thereby celebrate National Women and Girls in Sports Day after we hitched the dogs to the dog sled and raced through town.

Tonight we’re planning to eat crepes for supper, for National Crepe Day, and then celebrate the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo by drinking some Cerveza.

“I’m worn out, Marie. Too many holidays. You’ll be the death of me, I swear.”

But she’ll have none of that. “You slacker! Quick, look up February 3rd. What holidays are tomorrow?”
