Only Eleven Days Left This Month

Unfortunately, I only got two more sections finished today for my WDC Short Story. That leaves four more parts left to write. And with only eleven more days, not counting today, to finish it. I shouldn’t have any problems doing it. The big question is how long it will take to finish them?

Logically, it should only take me a few more days to finish writing this Short Story. But the way things have been acting lately, I’m not going to count on anything until it happens. After all, this is my only Short Story this month. So, I should have gotten finished about a week or two ago.

Instead, I may be lucky if I get it done by the end of this month. At least it will if the last few weeks have been any indication as to me being able to write. I shouldn’t be having so many problems with this Short Story. But I am. And I don’t understand why.

Well, that isn’t exactly true. I think I do know why I’m having so many problems with the WDC Short Story for this month. There are several reasons why. And it all started when we got the prompt for this month’s contest. We should have another six days to get it written. But we don’t.

Unfortunately, I can’t blame my lack of writing on this contest being late with the prompt. It hasn’t helped me too much because being so late this month. But it’s not their fault for me not getting this Short Story written by now. Unfortunately, that fault is all mine.

Normally, I would know what those faults were when it comes to my not writing. And in a lot of ways, I do know what has been wrong with me. But this time I’m not so sure about what I’m thinking. I think that there are several reasons why I’m not getting so little writing done this month.

Actually, I do think that it all started right after we finished moving into our new house. We were very tired for the next few days. So, not having a prompt for this month really wasn’t that big of a deal. Unless thinking about what it was going to be was part of my tiredness.

Then, I had to start looking for work. I think that’s a big reason why I haven’t been able to get as much writing done as I should be getting. After all, finding a job has taken up most of my time lately. Especially, it has during the daytime of the week it has.

Unfortunately, I also think the reason may be that I have been fighting at least one cold during this time. And I think it has been two or three of them. I don’t know why this has been happening. But I have been very weak and tired most of the time during these last few weeks.
