A Good Start at Work
A Good Start at Work

While at work earlier today, I started working on my WDC Short Story for this month. And I did very well with it. Not as good as I wanted it to be. But still very good. At least I think that about five hundred words are good. After all, that’s around a fourth of the way through this Short Story.

Of course, I wanted to get about halfway through it. That way I could finish it tomorrow. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. So, it will probably be a week before I get it finished. If I remember correctly, it was like that last month, or was it the month before that?

I may have gotten a little bit more written if not for my Present versus Past Tense. Personally, I prefer Present Tense because it’s easier for me to write and because it’s the only way to write in scriptwriting. But too many Reviewers disagree with me.

So, I’m trying to write these short stories for this month in the Past Tense. But I am having some trouble doing that. It hasn’t been too bad so far. It has been bad enough to slow me down with my writing. Luckily, it hasn’t slowed me down that much.

It's not a big deal when it comes to this Short Story. As long as I do at least one section/part on a Thursday or Friday morning, I can still get this Short Story finished by the end of my shift on Sunday morning. After all, Saturday and Sunday are my twelve-hour shifts.

Hopefully, I can get this Short Story done by the end of this Saturday. And I think that I have a very good shot at doing that. If I can get another five hundred words written today, that only leaves a thousand to finish this Short Story. I can do that on Saturday.

At least I should be able to get a thousand words written on Saturday. After all, it’s a twelve-hour shift. That’s why I think I have a very good chance of finishing this Short Story by the end of Saturday. Then again, I may not be able to do it by then. You never know with me.

If I can get this Short Story finished by the end of Saturday, then I can start on the section Short Story for this month. And since it’s a Sunday, hopefully, I can get about half of it written aka a thousand words. I’m not going to count on that either until it happens.

All I can do is do the best that I can. If I don’t get as much writing done as I hope that I can get for whatever reason, I should still be able to get them both written by the end of this month. It’s just not going to be as soon as I want to get them written.
