AAAAnd...

The Novella is over., it is called Our Own Characters, and it finished with a sappy ending, but it is a romance, so that is to be expected.

Near the end, the male gives the speech he should have given twenty years earlier for winning a song-writing contest.

It is in my previous blog entry and is possibly the best thing I've written all month.

This is going to take a special beta reader, I can tell you!

Anyway, I finished it early this afternoon and tried to relax, but kept thinking about my friend, so I hit the research button to look at cassowaries, diprotodons, genetic splicing... and wrote the whole pre-credits scene for my film script.

Can I finish a 90-minute (minimum) film script in a week? Well, I guess we'll find out, won't we? It's called Die-protodon, and is based on a really weird conversation on Discord before I left it last week.

And it answers the question: What do you get when you cross a diprotodon with a cassowary-turned-raptor and a Tasmanian Tiger? Answer: Chaos.

This is the sort of film Asylum churns out of a regular basis. And Roger Corman. And the Scyfy Channel...

So many markets for crap! This will, however, be so much fun to write.
