Once Upon A Shadow, Deep Inside A Dream

Shadows on the Wall

As she sits and plays,
with a bright yellow ball,
the setting sun on her back,
plays with her shadow on the wall.

As she prepares for graduation,
remembering all,
the good times and friends,
the morning sun lays her shadow on the wall.

As she practices her vows,
wearing the white dress from the mall,
she dances through the sunlit room,
with her shadow on the wall.

As she tells her children good-bye,
and to not forget to call,
she waves farewell from the door,
and so does her shadow on the wall.

As she sits in a rocking chair,
and studies her shadow on the wall,
she rocks and remembers,
all the other shadows on the wall.
