Can you believe I've already been here a month? It's funny because the time seems to crawl by and yet it's going quicker than I thought. Only 11 months left before I can come home.

I met some people in a village today. They told me their story of how they were taken from their own home and watched it burn with everything they owned inside. It made me realize again how lucky I am to be an American.

Today I spent some time thinking about what I want to do when I get home. I think I want to go to school. I know that doesn't sound the least bit like me but... I think I want to. I realized that I actually want to do something real with my life, not work at an electronics store and party on the weekends. We'll see though, I guess. Maybe I'll change my mind again and decide to do Army forever. Who knows?

I like hearing about what's going on at home so keep that up!
