LOVE’S ADDICTION

[Love is like an incurable addiction]


What is love? It is nothing
But truly a poison,
That is sweet and charming like
A toxic addiction.

But it is a poison that
Is difficult to find.
Yet, once found, it overtakes
The body and the mind.

Once in love, one is so trapped
That one can’t extricate
Oneself from it though one may
Even endlessly wait.

Waiting in love does kindle
More and more the love flame,
Which truly consumes the heart
And whole of mortal frame.
