POISON EYES
POISON EYES

[Sometimes serene eyes may spew poison]

Can I forget those deep blue eyes,
Much deeper than the sea?
When for the first time I met her,
I wished mine would be she.

Those eyes dripped a serene nectar
And as she threw a glance,
Time stopped for me and I was lost,
As if I was in trance.

My wish came true and we did have
A real pleasant time.
Finally a day did arrive
When wedding bells did chime.

But it was not long that I found
Her eyes, deeper than sea,
Hid inside them a vile tempest
Waiting to be let free.

I knew not whence it came and why;
What was its direction?
I only knew that the nectar
Was, in fact, a poison.
