He taught me many delicious lessons
In his wickedly subtle delicatessen
Of silver moves and polished words,
And fingers that probed and spurred.

I soaked him up like a thirsty plant,
Relishing the elements of our devilment,
But alas, the heat began to cool
As age took over and wilted his tool.

Some passions are meant to long endure,
When the fire damps and friendship matures,
But the vocabulary of touch was all he had;
When it stuttered, I traded Chad for Brad.
