Just a bitch about the heat

You know, I was just chatting to emmyloo about having to run my AC to beat the heat. It sucks. Mind you there's pros and cons to every situation. But the heat is everywhere. New England. St. Louis. Florida. The Mid-West. California. EVERY STINKING WHERE.

And my electric bill is going to disgust me. Aside from the the fact the COL is a little higher in California just because we're California, a couple years back a governor named Grey Davis put us in an enegry hole that we're just now trying to catch up with. The state has only TWO LOUSY transformer systems to deliver power and that's not enough so we get rolling blackouts. A third transformer line is due to come up but I'm not sure when. Anyway, to pay for all this madness how do you think that happens when we had to buy a $15 billion dollar bond to balance the budget 2 years ago? RATE FUCKING HIKES

Last June (2005) my electric bill was $76.00. This June it was $176!! I ABOUT DIED!! And this July well, hell, it wouldn't shock me NONE if the damn bill was pushing $400!!

That on top of the price of gas is enough to dedicate a blog entry ranting about how the incompetace of people running this system is killing the middle class. Am I digressing?

Anyway, it's a shame that gas is $3.29 a gallon and my electric bill which should be 200=250 in July is probably going to run me about 400. How many raises have I had to compensate for that? 2% hardly does it justice. BITCH, BITCH, BITCH.
