My blog--I pull a card--if it doesn't speak to me...perhaps it is for you? |
April 24th is the 18th anniversary of the Hubble Telescope. Although it initially had some glitches, it has taken over 700,000 photos of objects in space. NASA is releasing a new atlas of some of these photos, and they are truly awe-inspiring. Many of the photos look like elegant abstract art pieces....http://news.aol.com/story/_a/hubble-captures-crashing-galaxies/20080426210609990... It is hard not to believe in a Divine Presence, or sense of created universal order when viewing these pictures. Here on Earth, I'm planting herb seeds, repotting cacti, planning a road trip to an organic tropical farm market in Homestead, Florida...and thinking again about doing more container vegetable gardening. I live in a 2nd floor condo, so gardening space is a little limited. About a month ago I bought a fully grown tomato plant at the grocery store and it has been producing small, beautiful red globes. Years ago, my ex-husband and I had a 1/4 acre vegetable garden in Slippery Rock, PA. This city girl learned to garden and to can vegetables and make jellies and preserves. I'm not certain I'm ready to do that again, but a few pots of tomatoes and greens, and herbs would be lovely. If I can find one I believe I'd also like to try a dwarf fig tree...
